Camping. It used to be possible to camp "au savage" almost anywhere in the Languedoc, but sheer numbers and inconsiderate campers have put an end to this. Now you will need to find a campsite.
Most towns have municipal sites, which are not nearly as grim as they sound, and generally provide good value for money. If the town has it own website then the chances are that you'll find details of their municipal campsite on it.
