The theme of the 2008 Fecos was the recent mariage of President Nicholas Sarkosi to Carla Bruni. The King of the Carnival was represented as a bridegroom, and this was his wedding day. The characters include a priest and wedding guests as well as the bride and groom. The midday outing finished with a wedding breakfast.
