Things to do in the Languedoc: Cultural
Activities: The Limoux Fécos (Carnival
or Carnaval) -
Photographs 2008: Monte Cristo - Nuit de
la Blanquette - 9th March 2008
The King of the Carnival, and in 2008 his new bride (no
relation to the President and his new wife), are brought
down to the square and prepared for their trial.
The Judge, Prosecution, Defence and Executioner appear.
They procede to the trial, the Pierros having removed their
hats.
A Guilty Verdict is returned. The sentence is burning.
The Trial and Execution are over for another year. It is
time to celebrate the coming Spring.
